Lucas Nicoll began his plumbing career in 1994, starting an apprenticeship soon after completing Year 12 at Villanova College. During his apprenticeship with Fairfield Plumbing, a leading tier-one plumbing contractor at the time, Lucas gained extensive hands-on experience across a wide variety of commercial and residential plumbing projects.

Over the following decade, Lucas advanced through several key roles across just four businesses, steadily building his technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry knowledge. In 2004, driven by a desire for more direct engagement with customers and a hands-on approach to service, he founded Nicoll Industries.

What began as a small operation taking on any available work soon evolved to focus on Lucas’s roots, commercial plumbing. Under his leadership, Nicoll Industries has grown significantly, now employing a large and skilled team, including a strong cohort of apprentices. Lucas takes particular pride in training the next generation of tradespeople, nurturing their development with the hope of retaining them as the future of the business.

In 2024, Nicoll Industries proudly celebrated its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of quality workmanship, reliability, and community engagement.

Outside of work, Lucas is a passionate and competitive masters cyclist. Between his training, managing a thriving business, and keeping up with his three children, he maintains a busy and fulfilling life.

Daniel anchors day-to-day delivery—allocating labour, overseeing QA, training staff, liaising with head contractors and managing invoicing. He joined Nicoll part-way through his apprenticeship and has stayed for a combined 19 years, progressing from journeyman to inaugural maintenance lead, then supervising small commercial and housing projects, then multiple large-scale commercial jobs, Senior Supervisor, and now Operations Manager.
Credentials: Cert IV in Plumbing, Drainage & Gas; specialist certifications in solar, backflow prevention and TMV. Daniel’s steady leadership—and insistence on tidy, compliant sites—keeps projects predictable.

Timothy joined in 2012 as a second-year apprentice, quickly stepping up to organise and run maintenance while completing his trade. He’s since led commercial projects of all sizes, including large-scale retail and residential builds. Timothy’s focus is simple: do it right the first time—and help his crews do the same. He’s committed to mentoring, lifting standards on every site. Outside work, he’s a dad to three boys and an outdoors fan—balance that shows up in his calm, get-it-done approach on site.

With 12+ years in the industry (7 at Nicoll), Rob manages projects end-to-end—from planning and coordination to delivery and handover. He blends commercial plumbing and civil works experience with calm, hands-on leadership. Rob is known for navigating complex site conditions, keeping budgets on track and protecting timelines without compromising quality. Clients value his practical problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail at inspection and handover.
